Liquid Light displays need virtually no power to show an image.
The electrofluidic display only needs a voltage to be switched. Current is virtually zero. Since power is expressed as current times voltage, the net power is close to zero. Of course, the system needs some power to send images. However, this is only a fraction of what other displays need.
